Dark walking tours in the city of Light!


The Mysteries of Paris (French: Les Mystères de Paris) is a unique walking tour and forthcoming book series on the dark side of Paris.  This project takes it’s namesake from a novel published from 1840s by Eugène Sue and was founded by tour guides have over a decade of tour guide experience in New York City with double decker buses and inspired by Haunted History Tours in New Orleans.

Catacombs

Many people have requested that we bring them into the Catacombs of Paris and at this time we do not offer tours in to the Catacombs, especially the illegal ones which are dangerous for tourism.  There are two “Catacombs” the illegal ones which are known in the 2007 movie “Catacombs” with Pink and the legal ones which are open to tourists.  

You can visit the legal Catacombs until 4pm most days at 1, Place Denfert-Rochereau at 75014 Paris, France.  Open Tue-Fri 2pm-4pm; Weekends 9am-11am, 2pm-4pm.  These are actually safe and clean, plus a GREAT experience and a must for anyone coming to Paris.

Prices and Departure.

“On Season” April 15th through September 1st, Wednesday through Friday: €19 per person, €16 for students, military and seniors with photo ID.

“Off season” & private tours from September 2nd through April 14th or Sunday through Tuesdays;
 €24 per person, €24 for students, military and seniors with photo ID.  RSVP and advance booking required for off season tours.

At any point reservations and advanced payment are HIGHLY advised since tours are limited in size, tend to book up quickly and sell out quickly.    

Private tours require a non-refundable deposit of 50% to confirm the booking.

Parental Warning!  The Macabre Paris walk is 18+ and contain mature content.  16+ is welcome as long as there is a legal parent or guardian present.  If you wish to bring minors under 16 on the tour then you must book a private tour.

Private tours

Here is an itinerary to your taste but the departure dates are not suitable or you don’t like to travel with big groups. Don’t worry! You can take it as a private journey, with the preferred departure dates and your chosen travel companions, whether it is for a family vacation or a fun relaxing holiday with a small group of friends.
