Vampire Tour in New Orleans!

Haunted

Tourists and locals alike are raving about these theatrical, animated, historical, and entertaining expeditions into the legendary French Quarter and historic Garden District. The company offers several distinctively different 5-Star excursions exploring New Orleans’ colorful history.

The Haunted History Ghost Tour of the French Quarter takes participants to several locations associated with actual, documented hauntings.  “We’re not offering a Halloween spook house. The sites that you visit on our tour have been documented by paranormal investigators and significant research has been done.” Phantoms and spirits definitely abound on this tour.  Many participants have experienced “sensitivity” to certain locations on the nightly walks through the Vieux Carre. We’ve actually had several people faint on the tour.”  Not surprising, given the popularity of alcoholic beverage  consumption in the French Quarter.  What is surprising and quite eerie, is the fact that people are fainting in the very same spot!

“Journey Into Darkness”, the French Quarter Vampire Tour, offers a combination of fiction and reality.  Fiction in the sense of Anne Rice, Bram Stoker, and movie sites such as Interview With The Vampire filmed in New Orleans.  Reality, in the sense that the tour also takes participants to sites of actual “Vampire-Type” killings taken from police records, city archives, diaries, and personal interviews.  Both the Ghost and Vampire tours stop for a break in a haunted tavern during the outing.

Cemetery

The Cemetery Tour is an extremely popular daytime trek into the legendary St. Louis Cemetery #1, New Orleans’ oldest City of the Dead.  Participants explore the cemetery while learning about burial procedures, who ‘resides’ there, and includes a visit to the tomb of Voodoo Queen Marie Laveau.  It’s a tour that combines one of the most fascinating elements of New Orleans, the oldest burial ground, along with the ancient practice of Voodoo.

The Voodoo Tour, known as “Spellbound”, presents a historical look into the amazing magical and mystical world of Voodoo in New Orleans.  This tour explores the origins of Voodoo, how it came to New Orleans, and where it is today.    You will visit locations and properties exclusive to this tour and no other.

Nicholas Cage

And finally, as a departure from the paranormal, the tour company also offers a twice daily walking tour of the Garden District.  Known as “The Original Five-Star Garden District Tour”, this outing explores the elegant, lavish, and historic antebellum neighborhood known as the “American” section of town.  The Garden District was built in the early 1800’s to rival the architectural splendor and beauty of the French Quarter.  You’ll learn about the architecture, plant life, and visit Lafayette Cemetery.  Stops on the tour also include the homes of author Anne Rice, Nicholas Cage, John Goodman,  as well as the home where Jefferson Davis died in 1889.

But wait!  There’s more!  Garden District Ghosts and Legends is also offered for those wanting to hear about haunted side of this area of town.  This tour explores the same neighborhood, but it is done on a paranormal theme.
